It’s sad to me how many people get into a giant rage fest about things they claim to have no interest in and are repulsed by. If it’s so yawn worthy to you, or it’s so repulsive to you, then why are you spending so much time and effort ranting about it. My usual response to something I find repulsive is to close the window, turn away, try to push it from my mind as quickly as possible. I don’t spend minutes or hours of my time yelling about it. The first thing, the assumption that child avatars are run by men is completely erroneous. I have heard many many child avatars in voice, both male and female, and they are predominantly run by women. The fact you -assume- they are run by perverted men says a lot more about you than it does about the typists behind 90 percent of child avatars. I also know many sl moms and dads and again 90 percent of them ACT like a normal mom or dad and get outraged by some of the crap on the market that comes up under search terms like soken kid or toddleedoo. (Recently I listened to one mother rant for half an hour about why an adult penis came up under these terms. This isn’t the kid avis this is the freaking seller of the penis, thank you so much. ) Most typists of kid avatars will come out and tell you that they are interested in rping a kid in hopes of having some experience of a normal child hood because their real one was a giant pile of abuse. another week goes by and zero secrets to be seen, might be time to change the name of this website
I’ve seen quite a few people post actual “secrets” and they get little or no response.
What really appears to press people’s buttons are the following (but not limited to):
– pretty much anything about child avis;
– creators allegedly stealing textures/ideas from RL;
– female avi shapes (especially very thin or very large, out-of-proportion hips/ass etc);
– the “sex” lives of SL residents (usually women rather than men called ‘sluts’ for masturbating too much);
– avi’s pretending to suffer illness/hardship in RL; and finally,
– Brie (although I think her messages aren’t posted these days).
Brie stopped sending them in. Her choice. Wed post them if she sent them. This is why we can’t have nice things.
My point was that Brie’s contributions (I call them this because they were really feel-good messages rather than secrets, per se) seemed divisive, at least based on the responses she would get. By this I mean that people either liked them or hated them but many people reacted to them.
Don’t hold your breath on that.

Oh my god. I know #4. I never had anything against her for the most part she seemed nice but a lot of people in my family started to tell me about things she was doing to them. It no longer became a situation of them telling me when she started to flirt with me and then she tried to deny that shit because she was my sister. I have no way of knowing but I heard she tried to date one of her current sisters. I know SL is a little different for some people but I don’t swing that way and when she was confronted about it and her husband told, nobody believed it. My understanding is that she lies about pretty much everything to make people look bad. Family. Friends. Partners. And just about the time she gets caught she starts this pity party about feeling like everyone is out to get her.
It’s such fun coming here every week to read the trials and tribulations some of you go through. Believe me, we here in the peanut gallery’s cheap seats find it very entertaining, so I encourage you….keep it coming!
When there are such dire problems in the world, SL Secrets provides some light relief; whether it’s the appalling spelling and grammar, the bitchiness over… (pick a subject, any subject), who’s having sex with whom (seriously folks, they’re just lonely people *masturbating*) or the outright sexism (men who masturbate with various people = OK — women who masturbate with various people = sluts)…I say…keep going!

About #1, this an observation that has irked me for some time, I do understand that sometimes things are late, I get that, as long as I’m told it will be late, I’ll get over it.
