seems to me there is so much drama generated from the kid community. Is this because they all have psychological problems. When grown men run around pretenting to be little girls act like little girls. when you have to be a fake child with a fake family you obviously have some problems
The fact that she is closing it instead of handing it over to someone else further shows her selfish and unprofessional nature.
People have loved this event, just didn’t love Isa running it.
She’s the kid nobody likes and wants to play with, so instead of handing the ball to someone else and leaving, she’s taking the ball and going home. Way to make yourself even more despised Isa.
My thoughts exactly.
It is appalling to me that she is closing it down rather than finding someone who is mature and capable enough of handling the event. An event that has been going for so long and is such an iconic part of the child community is now ruined forever because Isa wants to continue acting like a child.
I guess we shouldn’t have expected much more out of her seeing as everything she has done in the past. I just hoped, for once, she would be an adult.
The Woodlands sim failed for one reason, Isa. She was so demanding of the tenants on the sim. Making them purchase high prim 900 linden builds to “stay within the sims theme”. When in actuality the builds were not that different than what others already owned. But everyone complied because we all wanted to be a part of it and felt it had a good future. Isa then closed off the Woodlands Gacha so tight that noone renting there got any exposure at all from having the Woodlands there. Big huge walls were put up so that noone could even see the rented buildings (that were all following her theme at their own cost). Speaking as a renter there. The prices were reasonable had we been able to benefit from the traffic brought in by the gacha event. Being that we were not getting the exposure, renters started leaving. The sim could not support a free Woodlands event without tenants. Had Isa INCLUDED the community and not been so demanding I’m sure it would still be there today. If the tenants on the sim were not invited to be a part of the event then they had to deal with all of the red banlines. Honestly if was not a very welcoming environment for either tenant or shopper. As far as favoritism, I can only say how it affected me. I was told that my products were not quality and that I should not use other people’s meshes and should learn to mesh myself. I was told that Woodlands was only going to be having people that provided their own meshes. You guys seriously are pathetic. Worst than bloody kids in a kindergarten school playground. Sitting there squabbling cause you’re pissed off someone wouldn’t let you sit on the damned teeter totter. I mean grow the hell up. You don’t get in an event? Find another one as already suggested. There’s more than just Woodlands around. And if you feel there is favoritism… then take your stuff and go elsewhere. I’m guessing your childish behavior on this site follows you inworld too… so idk you may wanna check that cause I think you’re gonna have more problems than just not getting into some darn event. Now i will say… let’s not call peoples things crap, or critique them; badmouth their items or abilities. Everyone starts somewhere, and there was a time where we couldn’t wipe our own butts… so keep this in mind before you go and critique someone else… Keep in mind if it as you in that person you’re critiquing shoes, how you’d feel. And it’s probably a good thing when replying to defend ? Now… Regarding the cost of stores that were around on Woodlands…. the price was 1.6L per prim! Get the facts straight. Some people had a few more prims than others but typically this was the cost (as it is on the rest of the sims unless a deal was struck with one of the rental managers) To cover Isa’s cost of her teir (had she been paying) they’d be getting charged far more than just 1.6L. That’s odd cause a couple of my friends rented on that sim and had received it. Or maybe it was when they had to swap to the next sim over… there was however some perk to being on that sim I’d just have to ask them to remind me what it was.
Regardless, the point is that the Kid Grid was quite nice regarding having Woodlands on the sim; even though it ended up not working for surrounding parties, and the main point is that the accusation of Diiego overcharging to compensate for Isa’s event, isn’t true.
Sims aren’t free and if Deigp gave her the sim for free like she bragged he had done, then still charged people to rent on ‘her free sim”, they were paying her tier. And to force the renters to take the 160 prim store the kid grid required they use out of their own prim count makes the L$ cost per prim even higher. Get a grip and stop kissing Deigo’s ass.
Yah… the forced theme WAS quite bullshit I will admit because… well who wants to stick to themes when you’re playing regular market value >.>
Forced themes aren’t SO bad… but when doing such things as themes; required buildings etc, it’s typically best to not parcel off individual parcels and lock it to individual groups, but to share from one sim pool so that the cost doesn’t take out…

It was something that had upset my friend when they rented since they weren’t particularly fond of the building and didn’t end up staying as long as they had hoped for.

I’m all for a good witch hunt, I’ll bring the beer, but there are a few things here I think are getting contorted. I’m not even going to touch the Isa hating, you guys may have good reason, I wasn’t there, I don’t know. So lets go through my list of things we can cross off in this witch hunt. 1. 2.5l per prim. I’m not sure where you guys are getting that this is over charging. It’s really not. If Diego is renting from the chungs. He is paying 1.4L per prim. If I remember their prices right. They rent a full sim at 18599L per week, you get just under 15K prims. That comes out to something like 1 and some change linden per prim. So to make a profit he has to charge atleast 2. And that’s barely cutting it. Sim decor and such calculated in, to turn a profit he would need to charge closing in on 3. So 2.5 was a steal. You folks really should rent your own sim sometime and see how much it costs to run one. You seem to be under the misguided assumption that you pay 1L per 1 prim. That’s just not how that works. At all. Go bang down Linden Labs door and bitch. 2. Kid vs Adult pricing. To get into some of these adult events that would be on the scale of Woodlands, you’d pay several thousand a month. Lets say 5k as a good round number. You’re paying 300 to 500. I’m assuming Woodlands is using 1/4 sim. She’s probably paying 5k ish for the 1/4 sim per week mind you. Someone isn’t in the loop here. Why post if you really don’t know what is going on and how much she is being charged? Better yet, who cares if she is making a profit or not? She will always be a hot mess of an event organizer and a lousy drunken slob who resorts to favoritism.
I could say the same of you. You are busy crucifying this lady for all her failings all the while trying to be the martyr too because you weren’t allowed in an event. The more logical response to not being allowed in an event would be to apply for another, take the criticism and try to improve or start your own. You hate her so much yet you still want in her event. You can see where the confusion might stem, yes? Or, another choice all together if you decide to try to fall back on this Diego over charging would have been to move locations to somewhere more in your price range.

Just wanted to clear some things up. I did talk to the owner of the Kiddo Shop and wanted to clarify that my comments were based on events I’d been a part of years ago as an adult designer. I made sure she understood, we talked, and I apologized anyway. People don’t always see things from the point of view of others, but I wish Cielo had a much gentler reminder. I also had the same talk with the event owner and neither of them have any further issue with myself. I will not defend anyone else’s actions. Do I approve of putting someone specific on blast versus talking to them? No. Had I known the specific event or person in question, I’d have talked to the specific person and event. When I found out, I did. The Kiddo Store puts out adorable things that I myself buy and am happy to support. She’s a very talented designer and putting her name out on this site is going to prolong that issue. Anything said about this site wasn’t meant to defend anyone. I simply wish it could be a more supportive, communal place. My secret about not blasting to everyone I know that I’m a kid designer? I have one avatar. My big and little are on the same account. I’ve been harassed as a little at events by strangers. I simply put on my big avi instead to shop in peace and age shift with family because I like to. I agree completely. If you are going to publicly bash another store, be prepared to have it blow up in your faces. I can’t wrap my head around them attacking The Kiddo Shop for copyright images when like you said, they are guilty of the same thing. If you are going to attack someone all over social media, make sure you are not guilty of the same. Brainiacs!
Honestly, this whole woodland event is just drama. Back in the middle of February, Isa sent out a notice on how she wants everyone to reapply to her event because she claims that since they are moving to another sim they are not allowed to have the same amount of designers there. Isa even made all her perm designers reapply. This boggles my mind. Why would you make stores perm designers for your event but yet you are making them reapply? Low and behold many of the designers shut their traps up and just reapplied. A week later, she has her manager send out the notice of what stores were accepted or not. She did not even have the balls herself to send out the notice. When the list finally came out, 95% of the original perm designers were taken off the list. They were not even considered as guest designers. This list had new designers some who never even participated in the event before. Truth be told, this event is all based on favoritism.
Who loses out at the end? The designers. Many of the designers who are in the current round of Woodlands are now being bashed because of Isa actions. Many of these stores are being blamed because of the way Isa is treating everyone else. It brings a bad name to those companies. While some of the stores do suck up to her, there are many bystanders being whisked away in hurricane Isa.
All I can say is, Karma is a bitch and she will get hers one day.
i agree with what most say but i can’t help but read the last comment say “she made them pay 2.5linden a prim” if you didn’t know that wasn’t her sim at all i know this first hand because i rent there and the landlord to that sim was that Diego guy he said if people want to be next to such a event they would pay big to be next to it. sometime most didn’t know she didn’t agree with prim being so much but she was unable to do anything because he was sponsoring her the sim,i do agree Isaa has her bad but i think people also forget what got her to that point to just say f* it all and be her way we use to talk but like everything in second life we moved on i don’t hate her for it but i wont sit here and trash talk about her when i did my dirt as well.
I knew when Diego offered her the sim to get his hooks in to Woodlands that it would be a giant fail. His over charging and her manipulations were bound to clean out people’s wallets. She feels so entitled that when Diego offered her the sim “for free” she jumped in with both feet knowing Diego would over charge the tenants to cover her tier. So shady.
I feel sorry for Bit having to deal with her now. I don’t think she’ll ever pass the event to anyone else because she is just to greedy to let go . She thinks it gives her some kind of importance being the owner of an event that she, herself,is running into the ground at lightening speed. I personally think the creators involved in woodlands should look for other events to be in and let the event fade into memory.
As for being harsh on Isa here, this is what happens when you behave like she has since she took over the event. Isa acts just like Kim Jong-un and mini tryrants are never really popular, it just seems that way because people fear what they will say or do. But just like all tyrants she will be over thrown and soon forgotten.

The event she runs on her own is very well put together. Her attention to detail and professionalism shows there, but at Woodlands it’s been a roller coaster over time. I think everyone can guess as to why.
“The manipulation is strong with this one, and sure maybe she is still nice to you now..but eventually that changes..just give it time. Maybe you haven’t seen her nasty ways yet..but her true colors will show at some point to everyone.”
Couldn’t have said it better myself. I don’t wish her ill will, but I have seen both sides to her and I am not impressed with the person who she is behind that facade.

It reeks of seeing Isa’s reverse side.This many people aren’t upset over an event, they are upset at how the person handling the event acts. There is absolutely no professionalism on her part. These people upset with her are not without their reasons. She should take a step back and evaluate as to why so many people are unhappy with her instead of relishing the fact that people genuinely have a problem with her attitude and business manner.
I am reading all of the comments being posted and I can see that there is a bigger picture here when it comes to Isa . No, I haven’t seen that reverse side that keeps coming up. I defended Isa because she’s been kind to me and it felt like the right thing to do.
It’s obvious that there are a lot of people upset with Isas behavior and I won’t defend that. If she truly has treated people in the ways that she’s been accused of here, then shes needs to own up to that rather than counter attacking with hatefulness.
Though, I definitely stand by my disdain for the way she was called out here. I think it was passive aggressive to attack her in this way rather than taking it to her directly. It’s too bad people resort to these types of tactics to say whats on their minds. But then, I’m gathering that is the whole point of this site.
While normally I would agree with you, Isa has been confronted multiple times about these issues and Everytime she pulls her victim card out and refuses to acknowledge that she’s hurt everyone. My identity is hardly a secret. If Isa reads this, she will know who wrote my comments above. I have nothing to hide. However as also said above, talking to her one on one does nothing and it’s long past due for her to be called out. I cared for her once, but like many people you will encounter in life. .. they paint themselves to be is always different from the person they are. Even further there is a lot of people who make a legit income from their store (taxable) and when her poor management skills taint the event, that can hurt a creators RL income by making the mistake of participating in her event. In essence, her bad judgement screws with people’s money and that is not okay.
what amazes me is that she is still “trying” or rather making Eeilee do the work.
During my time with Isa I confronted her on my issues and she would either ignore me or would come back with something rude to say like “you don’t know what you are talking about.”
My last interaction with her made me realize the kind of person she is and tbh I was grateful to be done with her.
Right as she was opening her woodlands sim with renters and such she made everyone pay their tier and promised an opening date. Mind you the tier was a tad over priced at like 2.5 linden a prim unless you were her good friend then it was much cheaper. Out of nowhere she decided that everyone was going to use the same build. A build that was 160 prims and they had to rez it them selves and take it from their prim allowance. The build also costed them 900 linden each. Which in my opinion is ridiculous. Everyone who had already paid was livid, a few of which came to me and asked me to speak to her about it…. And I did. Her response to me was ” it’s sl people get screwed over everyday… Why should I act any differently?” And that’s when I lost all respect for her.
Some designers who had been with her from day one she replaced without a second thought and when they reminded her she pretended like she just “forgot” them or she wouldn’t respond period.
The only thing sthat’s remotely good about woodlands and Eeilee and the designers.
Isa has simply got to go.
I had supported this event from pretty much day one. I witnessed many rules broken for certain people because of who they were in the kid community. I saw certain people who were Perm spots get kicked for no reason. Some were given BS reasons about their product not being of “quality” for her event, some were given reasons like they were late too much yet stores that sometimes go months without putting out items or are weeks late sometimes stayed perm spots and probably still are. All because she wanted to bring in her friends etc. The event guidelines were never properly enforced unless she wanted people out. There have also been times where she asked me for stuff and when I did them for her she almost made me feel guilty for asking payment for my services. She got into an open arguement on FB with one of her other Kid Grid renters because they simply asked why they weren’t accepted into Woodland. She accused them of feeling entitled among other things rather than privately handling the matter. She swore that renters were not given special treatment ( getting into Woodland). After she got new managers she massively cut her Perm list again saying they needed to drop those that were not up to their standards. Those people cut were completely livid. At least two I know of asked her why and she told them oh you rent a store here so you have a tenant spot which is the same thing as Perm. Um wasn’t that the arguement of the above renter? Tenants didn’t get special treatment remember? Pretty much it’s just been a cluster of bad decision making, in and out managers, sim moving. I’m curious as to why she was even passed the event to run in the first place. Who really thought that she could make a good leader??? I realize everyone has flaws, but a hot mess like this shouldn’t be in charge of an event. To further prove the favoritism, a store just recently – within the last month or so opened up called “Bunbun”, she blew facebook up asking who owned the store and where can she get ahold of them. This is all in the midst of the move to Hullaballoo, where she kicked out several perm creators for bullshit reasons, claiming she was redoing everything and also claimed that the “guest creators” were being limited as well. Guess what unknown creator got into the April event, where even previous perm creators of several months weren’t accepted?? This “bunbun” store. Clearly she has issues picking and choosing who she is going to accept into the event and it is very obvious that is not an even playing field for all creators. You either help her and make sure to give her lots of attention ie: Snippet – Sugar & Spice – etc. I really don’t need to go through the list here. Plenty of the designers she makes sure has a definite spot in her joke of an event. Amazing that a brand new store with barely anything in their marketplace and not even an in-world store can make it in the April round, but previous Perm creators who were loyal, on time and follow rules are removed. I’d never spoken to Isa before being invited to Woodlands.
So your view about favouritism to her friends? Wrong.
Secondly, just because we’re a new ‘unknown’ store, doesn’t mean we can’t produce quality textures- Pixicat was invited to the Arcade even when she was a ‘new’ store, and her stuff was amazing. Dust Bunny got invited after she made just a couple of builds, same story. Time doesn’t equal quality- She liked the way our work looked, so she invited us. That’s the way events work, sorry.
Thirdly, you say you aren’t jealous, but then proceed to be salty for no reason? ‘Cheap & overused’ – um wow, rude. The cloud illustration is hand-drawn, and we put effort and time into texturing that sweater.
Ps; Your aim sucks, learn to shoot without hitting innocent bystanders, or you end up looking like an asshole 🙂

I’ve seen that similar cloud pasted on a ton of shirts for both adults and kids. Not sure why there are so many small minded people who enjoy looking at the same thing in different colors by different creators

2. Yes, darling, many items of clothing have clouds on them? The reason why? Oh, wow, look at that, clouds exist in nature, wow! They’re a real thing, and therefore many people draw inspiration from them and put them on clothing and accessories. No, it’s not 100% original, but that’s like someone attempting to copyright a rainbow.

The point was and is that it is overdone, there is no true creativity being produced in the kids world on SL.
Who am I to judge? Everyone has an opinion and the right to voice it. If I had a store I would expect people to judge my work. That’s how the world works, sweet cheeks.
I think as long as something is still popular with the vast majority, that designers are going to keep giving the customers what they seem to want.
Your opinion may be that it is overused and stale (and well it might be) but a large number of consumers still love it.
I don’t know this Isa and I am not in Woodland Event. But I went round and looked at the vendors a few times while shopping with my daughter. The “Kawaii” stuff sure seems to be still popular with the kid crowd (and the adult crowd as well)
I’m sure it will die down eventually and something new will replace it.

There are so many horrible stores at woodland , how could they not want a quality store?
I can agree, to a certain point, that people should just speak their mind rather than hiding behind anonymity. However, with something like this and all of the issues, she would completely shut down and ignore them. I think this brings light to the situation so that everyone can get their opinion out and not be too scared to speak up. Where if you were to go about doing it in person, you’d be blocked and no one would be there to agree with you and speak their mind also.
Isa is long overdue for a wake-up call.

As someone currently in Woodlands. I can say don’t think everyone here is posting because they are ‘sad’ or ‘mad’ about not being in or being excluded from this event..back in the day sure..but Woodlands has taken quite the fall. I can tell you my sales have taken a big drop there. I think mostly everyone is upset about the poor management that has gone, the favoritism that will always be in play..and because of that..well the quality of items there has gone way downhill. You send out this huge list of rules and stipulations for being a designer in Woodlands..then more then half the people there don’t follow along with them..but still are permitted or allowed and don’t get scolded like others because they are your “long time friend” or they can offer you something you need currently..or because they choose to kiss your ass with your drama on FB or when you try to bash others that have helped you in the past. Just because you are in Woodlands..doesn’t mean you are blind to what goes on there..and I know everyone sees it, her friends know it..even if they won’t admit it. There is definitely favoritism going on, you can tell who Isa wants there, and who she doesn’t..whos ass she kisses because they give her things, or offer her handouts and who don’t..and that is what is shitty and what most people are mad about. I sat there and not only was there for you as a friend, but bought you things, decorated your sim (only for you to tear it down right after I was done), purchased a domain, built you a website, made you a new logo, helped you write notices, let you live on MY land for FREE and defended you to the core. Funny that Lily Lana Hart-Ferox is on here this week right after she called The Kiddo Shop out and got them removed from an event. Pretty hypocritical of her and her friends to mention copyright images and not sticking to the event themes when Lily’s event item is barely changed from the original state. She even used the pre-made texture that the hat comes with and just added text and images from Alice, hmm, I guess that is okay though.
Her half ass template skins are hideous and I’m boggled as to why people are buying it. Not to mention the cheap and rushed looking crowns she just released. She should really stop ranting about other creators and fix her own store before she even thinks of running another stores reputation into the ground.

There was once a time in SL that I would have defended Isa to the end of the earth.. but thats how it goes with her. As long as you provide for her in some way, be it a service, defense, or any other way then she keeps you around. The second you disagree with her or you can no longer provide Isa with the things you need, you become expendable. I witnessed this first hand, I was there for her, provided for her, even offered to step in and help her when the other owner of woodlands stepped down. I backed her up and defended her from the “haters” as she calls them.. When really looking back, they were just honest people who got burned by her. I gave her idea’s for her store, and tried to support her event as widely as I could. I even brought her designers when people were dropping out like flies. She repaid me by kicking me from her event because I wasn’t family anymore. She went as far as blaming her other two managers, Eeliee and Winter, saying they decided my items weren’t good enough for woodlands and that I didnt deserve to be in her event. To this day, I still have people asking where my gatcha’s are from the few rounds of woodlands I was in. I can vouch for anyone saying that Isa runs woodlands on a favoritism basis. While I may not love Isas response to the criticisms posted here, I will say this – Isa has never been anything but kind to me and to the mutual friends we share. I realize this is only my perception but I feel like the reasons for attacking her here reek of “I was removed from the event for “X”reason” or perhaps rejected from participating to begin with. Going after someone because they ask for help with stuff or use poor grammar is a weak excuse for your mind numbingly, boring bitchiness. As for the event being stale or lacking in popularity as another poster mentioned, I beg to differ. I make excellent income from my Woodlands items so, it can’t be THAT stale.
Woodlands has been under fire before for “playing favorites”. Who knows if your complaint is legit or not but the way you chose to weave in every little gripe you could in relation to Isa with your posts pretty much makes it impossible to take you for anything but a petty, whining little brat with a personal vendetta against Isa rather than a legit complaint about the event itself or how it is being run.

Regarding #12. What you consider a “One Trick Pony”, most people would consider “having a style”. George Hurrell had a style. Richard Avedon had a style, as did Helmut Newton. You see one of their photographs, and know immediately who the person behind the camera was.
As with many other SL photographers, Oakley has a distinct style. Her look is unique, her styling is gorgeous, her poses are thoughtfully chosen, and her lighting is alway beautifully done. To pick on her because you don’t like her work, or maybe just don’t like her, is a shitty thing to do.

I’m sure copyright infringement will be an important issue in SL2 of course if things (creating/producing, selling) will be similar to what we know in this SL today. But will they be this way?

Exactly, and on top of that not only is the sign not a direct copy, it’s also a famous real life sign, It’s not something the Etsy creator came up with, Neither are guilty of anything and on top of that the person hating on floorplan this month is just projecting their own hatred and making assumptions on the pillow. It was a collab and i made that pillow, I saw and loved the pillow because it reminds me of Tegan. It is not a direct copy, Close but not photo-sourced or directly ripped at all. All Photoshop layers can be provided to prove that fact.
The cushion however is that a copy or is that another image in the public domain? Etsy sellers also have a rep for taking items that are not exactly original and using them. The difference being they are sewing, printing etc so creating a derivative product. Tegan is also doing that she is meshing these items so that takes skill.
Tegan is also I think is normally very careful which what google images she uses I checked a few but she has missed a few on licenses where not copyright reserved but under the commons license on some she is meant to include a credit (not a huge deal imho).
Most of these items just look like super lazy products, I wouldn’t ever buy them. But as long a she is not actually ripping off real artists then who cares.
