Ring ring, ring ring, hello police, someone has been posting compliments to a media site called flickr and whats worse is they have been adding them to their favourites, which you are actually meant to do, but honestly the way she has been doing it it’s really stalkerish. Now mr policemen please note the compliments are not really compliments, they are insults disguised as compliments, now we think we know the name of the person who did this, oh wait, it’s not a real name it’s a name of someone in a game called secondlife. No no officer that’s correct, it’s not real life, it’s a game life and game names yes yes that’s correct. Yes yes flickr is a site where one can comment, yes office the pics in questions are open for comments, no no there are no rules about passive aggressive posting. Oh really, you can’t arrest her, but but but, she’s committing a crime and fangirls are upset and all kinds of people are now making fake accounts on virtual-secrets, can you arrest them too. Yes yes SL secrets it’s a blog where people post nasty comments about people they don’t like in second life. What’s that noise officer are you laughing at me….
What a manic response! How many fake names is that this week I am counting more than 7?
The reality of the above would perhaps be true if it was talking about some silly secrets.
But as linked to above and what we saw before Flickr deleted her account (or she did in a panic) is this has been across multiple platforms and for years not weeks. As Elle herself said she was from Auckland New Zealand, I think what she actually falls under is this:
Cyberbullying can be a criminal offense under various laws inc sections 249 ‐ 252 of the Crimes Act.
I never normally take this sort of thing seriously but I think a police report would at least get this woman visited by the police even if they don’t press charges. Even if the police don’t charge her they are required to investigate and that will expose her including no doubt to her employer, so have consequences.
Bullying has caused people to commit suicide and you can try and belittle it (Elle I am looking at you scrambling above with all your counter comments) but it’s a serious problem and the police do treat it as such after many high profile cases.
Don’t bother responding to me again Elle on another account, if you also start harassing me I’ll be the one who ends up reporting you on behalf of your victims. I have no hesitation in taking bully’s down.

Ok I think we have our first officially scary creepy stalker unmasked not just a bully.
I started looking at this Elle’s flickr too. If you check her favorites you will see snarky comments dressed up in pretend compliments all kinda obvious stuff when you know the context which we do now.
But I found one and I won’t post it that splashes all of Scarlet’s RL information over somebodies feed. Now that I would be really concerned about.
I don’t know if the information posted is true, but I am coming down on the side of this person has likely stepped way over the line of SL or Flickr and gone after RL stalking.
I will report her as perhaps Flickr will have to act if enough of us do?

Clearly she wasn’t lying we all saw the links we just didn’t post them (especially as you went through there were hundreds of the things).
Surprise surprise the Flickr account has gone today that was created over 18 months ago. Either Flickr acted (wouldn’t surprise me as it was falling foul of all the community guidelines), or Elle Crescendo realized with all the links posted she had left sufficient evidence that she had RL stalked somebody, harrassed somebody to the point of it being insane and that crosses easily into a quick call to her local cops and is serious versus dumb anon postings on a website over SL which doesn’t warrant that sort of action. She went over the line, not particularly bright I guess.
It wouldn’t surprise me if somebody did put a call into her local cops at least it would start an investigation. I took all the screencaps before it was taken down and I know Yahoo keep records for a period of time. If anybody needs let me know.
Also Joanne that subtle thing about Death I would treat seriously. After seeing what she posted and her pursuit through other sites she is a sick bunny. I screencapped it too in case you need.

I will report her too seeing the links and going back on the Flickr search. I am in that group and it honestly one of the sweetest groups I have even been in and is saddens me to see what a crazy person like this Elle could do.
I just sent a notecard after Scarlett put it up on online and that it was to share flickr art not just blogging and make friends. I got invited same day. I had been blogging for all of 8 weeks back then and couldn’t afford to buy lots of things to get started. Now I blog for 6 different creators and give them PR while I get great stuff to furnish my little plot of land with. It’s a great deal for all parties and I only blog what fits in with my style.
I always felt a bit alone as a kid. Partially due to being from an Asian family living in the Midwest so it took time for me to make friends as first as we immigrated from Japan and my american was bad. So seeing this and knowing how long it has gone on makes my heart go out to Charlotte. I do think she has good friends who will tell her to ignore this nasty person and to tell her she is not alone. I like that people here have exposed this person for being a bully.

Actually super sneaky designers pretend they don’t need bloggers and what they do instead is create an elite group of charlatans and then call it an Art/design group but the only members allowed will be bloggers (the special arty designer type of blogger of course) and you have to be invited to the group. Sooooo elite is this group of bloggers (oops I mean Artists/Designers) that you must enrol and be added to a wait list if you are good enough you might be added when a spot frees up, then you get to receive the exclusive items you will be allowed to blog. To be such a special deluded snowflake must feel good.
Well fuck me Jo Black (wasnt that the name of death in a movie) you must be familiar with every group in SL eithr that or you have some other agenda up your big fake ass.
I found the RL flickr too. Jesus fucking Christ she is seriously out to hurt that creator. Somebody should report her to her local cops.

What a bitter statement @ Charlatans (although we all know that isn’t your name). Each week you do this with a different name so fixated on one person, so I started to wonder, what’s your beef? I only know of four groups like that in world and all of them are not by invite. All of them reached out to ask people to join. After the past posting by that account that kept picking on one girl who creates in SL. I took a closer look. I found one which is Scarlet Creative’s. From what I hear she runs one of the nicest groups in SL and has brand new flickr users or bloggers included. Now that’s rare as most stores demand they are established. It says a lot about a creator to me that they don’t discriminate to certain users. So putting the two together, I am going to call this out and say it’s that whack job Elle Crescendo posting under another fake name. Despite being exposed before she has continued. Boy, what a coward. Somebody else posted a while back, she was deploying similar tactics to bully young female creators on other sites so I did some more digging. I cannot tolerate cowards who hide behind their keyboard to bully others. I found some rather interesting information. Elle Crescendo also ripped off Charlotte’s copyright too on Flickr. Well I suppose to a degree marketing and selling yourself involves making others believe you are buying into something special. If you create that illusion people buy into it, it is creating a perception. Creating a perception of luxury and elitism = bank for some cos people believe it

Bloggers provide free marketing. The designers chuck the blogger a free product a dress, a chair, a bed a house whatever it is. This costs said designer nothing, designers in SL do not have to mass produce or reprodcue there are no ongoing manufacturing costs and for an already established designer there are f all production costs period, just time. So, when you blog their shit and you’re a popular blogger, you are esstentually providing free advertising and marketing. Designers are so far up blogger asses it’s not funny. Designers shit bloggers, so yeah, BLOGGERS ARE GOD’s, “on ya knees designer now”

I love when people say shit like what #3 wrote. As a designer I can assure you we do better with bloggers than without. I am going to guess you’ve been recently rejected by an event or designer and now you’re pissed off.
Get over it. Blog because you love it not because you want free shit. Then designers might be inclined to pay more attention to you.
Yeah, if bloggers are so unnecessary then why do I get so many group notices from shops wanting people to blog for them? Not to mention the eleventybillion fairs and events out there. The “phrase” used in my secret is not in fact a common phrase. My secret says, “Everything happens for a reason and that reason is usually physics.” It’s an unexpected play on a common cliche. It is not a “phrase used commonly as a sympathy measure.” Only half of it is, and that’s used as a setup. Are you in such a deep state of reaction that you just can’t see this? Or are you so entrenched in your position that to concede would be the death of your ego? Trust me, I am not going to concede because it’s my fucking secret and I know what it meant and what it means to me.

Anyone who is this triggered by in associated secrets and uses them as an opportunity to talk about themselves is clearly seeking attention for whatever reasons. It sounds like you really do need some sort of help and a safe place to discuss how easily you are triggered.

Certainly there are actual scientific reasons for behaviors in nature that have a cause and effect. But there is critical thinking that should be applied to everything, including science and non science endeavors. My initial statement was more about how the phrase is applied in an unfeeling way, used to carelessly slather on noncommittal sympathy. I agree that there is a cause of many things. But when you have this one tragic situation happen to you, inside of you, the last thing you want to hear is a science-infused shoulder shrug of “suck it up, buttercup, shit happens”. Even if there is a medical reason that caused such an event. Now, let me address you both by saying you assume that I was being thick headed, ignorant of the secret’s intent and even attempted to turn this into a personal issue. The truth is, this phrase is used commonly as a sympathy measure and less for scientific purposes. My experience with this saying has been terrible. Your experience clearly has been stellar. Therefore, I offered my opinion not as a slight against the secret but against how the statement is used in other areas of life. Nope. There are not multiple ways to take this secret. The whole point of the secret is a mockery of the phrase “everything happens for a reason.” Just because those exact words (which are the point of the secret) are words that you have some horrible personal affiliation with does not mean the secret is wrong or should have been written with consideration of ridiculous, self-centered people like you. If you live your life this offended and upset by simple phrases then you probably should seek some sort of therapy. And I don’t say that lightly.

@#8’s Author: Science is different than a misguided attempt at consoling someone after a loss.
To address your other statement, every woman who had suffered a miscarriage already blames herself. Therefore the statement “everything happens for a reason” hits you especially hard because you tend to think the ‘reason’ is that you’re a terrible mother who couldn’t provide acceptable conditions for your growing baby. You have failure piled on top of failure.
Until you’re on the receiving end of such a statement, you will be unable to tell other people how to feel when they hear these statements.
However, it may not have been your intent when you created the secret but there is another side not thought of when you decided to submit it.
Maybe your statement would have been better to say for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. As you have been shown today.
You guys just don’t get #8, do you. If you thought about it for a moment maybe you might. It says exactly what you are saying, that the “reason” things happen is physics. For instance, the car hitting your car is not God’s way of telling you to slow down, it’s physics. The car couldn’t stop in time and hit you. That’s all it is. A miscarriage happens because something is wrong, something physically didn’t go right. Basically, “physics,” or biology if you must pick nits. I’m not trying to console anyone and you would all live longer if you didn’t take every secret personally.
