Before we delve into secrets…
• If you hook up with a crazy in SL, it is not our responsibility to help you deal with that. If it becomes a RL issue contact law enforcement.

Thank you to #8 when i had a small SL business I was endlessly bullied by another designer, her store is well known so I didn’t stand a chance. She tried everything including false DMCA until I gave up and stopped designing. I’m pleased to see people standing up to bullies. Remember the identity of ssome bullies can be surprising. Don’t be intimated like I was.
The only types that bikini would appeal to are pedo men or the women they convince to wear it when they pretend to be little girls. THAT IS SICK!!!

I don’t know. If I saw somebody in that getup I would probably wonder what happened in their own childhood to make them think that was appropriate.
I have a horrible suspicion that a number of ageplayers are simply reenacting their own past traumas in a way they believe they can control, because, hi, being abused can really fuck you up. And that this is obviously extremely unhealthy and they need real help, as opposed to the ‘run around pretending that you’re having a perfect childhood’ pseudo-therapy practiced by the more wholesome child avs.
It seems slightly victim-blamey to me that people direct their horror and discomfort at the child avs rather than the daddy doms, or whatever the paedos are calling themselves these days, who are preying on vulnerable people. Maybe it’s just because the kids are easier to spot?
I’m just happy to see Bethany’s back again this week! She looks hawt in that swimsuit… I almost didn’t recognise her with her clothes on! The Summerfest location in the background gave it away.

I don’t understand #2, what does that even mean activate your fucking windows? Also anyone find that av completely disgusting looking in a way that they look cracked out on some kind of drugs or something.
It doesn’t surprise me that this person stole a copy of windows. She was also stealing internet until the neighbors caught on to what she was doing and shut her off. If she can steal from the neighbors who she lives next door to, then why should we be surprised she steals software like Windows, Maya, Photoshop, and many other programs that are on her computer. However she can brag about all the shit she buys in second life and her Iphone! All brought to you by the proceeds of stealing things from others that you have no right to steal.
Non activated copies of windows usually indicate pirated copies. I’m assuming that the subject of the secret has done a stream of some kind and someone spotted the activation pop-up.
It seems to be pretty normal for designers to pirate their software, but half the time those designers pretend that they don’t.
The avatar is disgusting looking and honestly looks like they shoot up with drugs.

There is a policy that Linden Lab has in place which only allows DMCA take down notices to be submitted if you own the copyright yourself. This helps out Linden Lab when it comes to residents trying to report a rival store, when they are just trying to mess up their business but don’t actually own the copyright. There is no avenue for a resident to report a copyright infringement as a third-party – but so often I see no other possibility. I doubt Sanrio found #5’s product and not any others on the SL Marketplace? Surely there is a way in which things are being reported to LL outside of this avenue? I do know, however, that when I come across a copyrighted item on the SL Marketplace, I copy a link to the product and send it in an email to the copyright holder (no more than one a day – i don’t want to get overwhelmed, since there is a ton of copyrighted content out there). I explain that it is a digital product that is being sold for profit, and that if they didn’t give permission to the person infringing, then they should submit a DMCA claim to LL. I often even include a search query so that they can find all of the copyrighted products that are being sold illegally. I think the businesses deserve a heads-up, since SL is probably not a place a lot of them are sniffing out copyrighted material, but a lot of residents realize this and are taking advantage of it. #5 if that is your product I am SO glad it was pulled. That is NOT an appropriate thing for a child avatar to wear. The kid community of SL has to deal with so much shit and it’s because of stores selling this sort of product that hypersexualizes child avs.
No kid avs are not really kids behind the monitor (we hope). But if you choose to adopt the role of a child in SL it is important to abide by some basic common sense rules or guidelines, and NOT dressing a child av like that is one of them.
#3 Enjoy your free mesh body while it lasts, before that store decides to revoke your rights to it or tries to charge you somehow. Everything that business has done has been fishy. They don’t allow criticism on their Flickr page, their TOS basically warns you that if you say bad shit and they find out, they’ll ban you, and just recently they decided it was a-okay of them to steal the Fendi logo and use it in SL. And when it was pointed out, naturally they deleted the comments. I wouldn’t spend a dime in that store and your basic body might be free but anything you buy to go with it isn’t.
For the love of God, please be cautious about the font choices you make when creating your secrets. I’m going cross eyed trying to read these things.
If you’re a content creator, wouldn’t you have the eye for making appealing ads, not to mention the items themselves? Apply it to your secrets.

Yes, if they think an ALL CAPS serif outlined in red is a good look then LL probably did a service to humanity by pulling their stuff from the marketplace.
I also have to laugh at their notion of a conspiracy whereby LL favour ‘popular’ creators of ugly shit over those who are just getting started. They don’t have the time to go trawling through the oceans of ugly shit proactively seeking out copyright violations; they just respond to DCMAs once filed. Meanwhile, the real world is awash with Hello Kitty ripoffs, and Sanrio are no doubt more concerned with that than nasty virtual swimsuits.
I totally agree. Even if I am able to look past the disgusting child mesh “tankini”, I still see a horribly styled avatar in a very unappealing advertisement. It sticks out like a sore thumb and makes it difficult for me to even look at.

In fact I went and looked and the pictured item is onthe MP still. The store has many tiny bikinis for little girls.
I don’t think that’s the item that was taken down, looks like the secret poster is showing someone else that also has HK on their stuff. Look up the store name that’s on the the secret. That swimsuit is still for sale, and they have other things with HK on them. Also, If you think the swimsuit in the secret is blatantly sexual it’s almost tame next to the other things they have for sale. So gross I don’t even have the words.
