Welcome to SLsecret, week 330.
So, this SL kid stuff is getting rather annoying. I’d say 50% of SL does not like SL kids, 30% don’t care and 20% either are SL kids or their families. The make up on that kid skin is minimal though. However, I have a bone to pick with #3. First of all, there are free things to buy in second life, TONS of them in fact. I’ve collected probably over 300 items from christmas events alone. So not only are you cheap, you are lazy and don’t know how to google or read a simple blog and find stuff. Second of all, I understand being cheap, I do not buy lindens unless I feel I absolutely want to (I earn them instead) but I know when things are worth buying and that I should want to give the creator compensation for their time/skill/effort. In the grand scheme of things that 200L time is worth maybe 10 cents in REAL money. Wanna know how much work an original mesh creator put into it? Probably a lot more than your 10 cents is worth. Lots of people make gifts strictly for their groups, so 250L for say a dress in a certain color or colors when the regular release is about the same price or more is a pretty fair deal since most people will give out gifts in the future too (it’s like paying for one item and getting future items free). Don’t like it? Don’t join. Secondly, events are staying in SL as long as shopping is a thing, people are lazy, love convenience and the market demands NEW items (preferably discounted somewhat). In fact when I did an event, one of the complaints was the layout didn’t allow people to stand and cam around easier (yes, people are very… Read more »
you can buy a lot of those skins on the marketplace for 100L (copied)… and they even use the real photos from the original stores. AA put them on their own faces, takes a keen skin person to recognize that. the owner of this store is pretty sketchy and sneaky.
To Lourdes,
I just recently posted a website because of all the drama about the copybotted skin templates going around. This site I created (not fully done so please forgive me as it’s the holidays and I’m spending time with my family) to help out all designers new and old to see what these listings are appearing and what to look for in a “legit” template. There is a way to get in touch with Voshie Paine as she has a group for template creators.
And my site is here : http://diysecondlifeskins.weebly.com/
Sadly A&A’s marketplace listings are in fact some of the ‘samples’ i used for how to spot a copybotted template. I did let the creators know but, so many just rename and reuse the same photos over and over again. I hope this can help in clearing things up for some people.
And to say that most of the people saying that A&A is copybotted, the proof is in putting it side by side with designers items. I’ve been on secondlife for almost 6 years and you grow to know the shopping community if you love shopping. Heck my inventory is a busting 166,000+ items. So when I say honestly and truly A&A is a copybot template store, I also say sorry because you have become a victim and loss of lindens that cannot be recouped in a lot of cases. But to the creator of #1, please read my site and contact me in world if you are in need of help. I’ll be willing to help you find some legitimate templates to help your business grow.
Thanks for making that site. As someone who has toyed with the idea of learning how to mesh, the possibility of finding illegal textures or something really scares me. It’s one of the things that has kept me from trying, in fact. I have a few full-perm items but they’re from reputable places like Surge. I wish people would give creators the benefit of the doubt that maybe they honestly didn’t realize their templates were stolen, and give them a PRIVATE heads-up, instead of publicly accusing them. Thank you again for trying to help, iokko!
Actually feel sorta sorry for the girl. She down the right thing by taking her stuff off the store.
I dont understand kid avis and wouldnt be one but i have bought full permission hair before that was copied and illegal. had it removed right out of my inventory and thats hwo i found out it was stolen hair i had bought. Far as them templates go I have seen them around for sale a long time. an i agree this weeks secrets sucks.
this weeks secrets sucked! why so some dumb drama and comments?
To the original poster, you’re a stupid bitch.
To B, you’re no better than the original poster. You are badmouthing a merchant without any real proof. People provided links and yes you did jump on the bandwagon in your frantic desire to protect your name. I can also provide links showing skins being blogged. So what?
To the child haters, go stick your mesh dildo up your ass and shut the fuck up.
To Britney, you’re the worst of them all. You’re a sanctimonious cunt and you have no idea what you’re talking about. You know how many people have bought full perm items not knowing they are stolen copies? What can be done about that is that the original creator can file a claim against the seller and anyone using them. At that point, the items are removed and the inventory gets removed inworld.
Buying a stolen tv from Craigslist is a good example of this. The buyer may be unaware but still gets the merchandise taken away. Nothing can be filed against the buyer. Get your facts straight you melodramatic fucktard.
I don’t get #7
Actually they do because they are told when there is a secret about their activities on this site.
Lourdes – Someone cares quite a lot since there are so many secrets about them haha
Maybe they don’t visit this site?
They don’t deny because they can’t. They were actually named a few weeks ago and It was confirmed by someone who posted on this site saying they had indulged in a threesome with them. Now if someone put that on this site about me and it wasn’t true, I’d definitely be posting something tasty in response.
The shoe whore knows better than to post here. And her benefactor won’t publicly acknowledge all this for obvious reasons. Either way we don’t know if it is true. Anyone can post anonymously and say they know xyz had a threesome. Besides, why do we even care?
Don’t see that the secret has anything to do with them fucking around. I think Blingtardette’s post makes sense. She does have a higher creative style in her jewelry whether it was with or without his help. She understands her market and has been very successful as a businesswoman.
And yes, Slink has killed his business. This isn’t surprising if you expect your customers to pay high prices for shoes that lack imagination and continue to resemble previous releases. When the zing has gone it’s time to tie your shoelaces and skip off into the sunset.
Ohhhhhh. That makes sense now.
Someone needs to show proof that they are fucking around. Pics or chat or something. They will no longer be able to deny it and the shoewhore secrets can end.
It looks like another shoewhore one to me. Basically how said shoewhore is now more successful than her boss/lover/mentor because Slink feet have killed his business but people still need jewelery.
i was wondering about that one myself
all yall are idiots. did it ever occur to you that the other skin designers are using the same templates on their skins.
how do you know that AA is copybotting? i have used those templates and other people i know have used thos e templates.
they been for sale forever.
good job jumping on the hysterical bandwagon B. theres no proof the files being sold are copybot. because a blog photo shows a skinner uses the same templates for their skins is not proof. dumbasses, all of you.
I find the irony (and hypocrisy) of a lot of the anti kid avatar sentiments in sl is that people bash child avatars because they make the gross assumption that someone who uses them is age playing sex, and yet, look at how many fully grown female avatars are completely infantalized in a sexual nature…knee high socks, school girl outfits, frilly tutu’s, pigtails, lolly pops that drip cum (to name a few gross examples)? I see that overly sexualized cutie pie slut wear at every freaking event on the grid. How many of the people on this thread who were bashing kid avies, have an inventory full of that stuff? I find it completely hypocritical that on sl its ok to dress up like a porn start playing at being a school girl, but dress up like an actual school girl in a modest outfit, and people think you must be a pedo.
I’ve never had a child avi, and I find them a bit annoying at times when they baby talk, but the few I have known chose to be children partly because they want to deliberately exclude themselves from the sexual side of sl. They want to reclaim their innocence, believer it or not. When people hate child avatars because they assume everyone makes them for a sexual nature, I think it says as much about their mental state as it does about the avatars they criticize.
It’s ridiculous, not rediculous. Just saying. 😉
Most people don’t have those things in their inventory, but I’ll bet you do.
You’re trying to justify the tween slut in the picture aren’t you? Disgusting.
yeah, no, I don’t think there’s a whole lot of overlap between the girls doing the whole slutty kawaii trend and the ones hating on child avs. It seems to me more likely that the cutesy sluts are the ones giving child avs a bad name. They get a toddledeedoo because it seems like a natural extension of their aesthetic and then they ‘forget’ to separate their kid activities from their adult ones. Which, eew.
I have none of the things you list in my inventory, I don’t even know what they are and I don’t partake in SL sex, frankly I find it rediculous and desperate.
That being said why don’t you look at your own hypocrisy and incorrect assumptions. I don’t like kid AV’s and I’ll execute my freedom of speech to say so thank you very much
The AV in the photos seems to have a very baby face to me and a tween body, there is just something about it. To me the face looks like that of a 5yo and the body looks like a 12-14yo. I personally find it a bit creepy myself.
There is no way to tell how anything will be used or percieved in SL, there are not guarantees and there will always be some who do “rotton” things.
Well Curious, I don’t know how many girls you have but my tweens look all of 17 when they want to, they sure don’t have a baby face. The rest of your post needs a translator I can barely understand a word you said
Have you actually looked at a tween lately? They are in that awkward phase where their bodies are maturing and their faces are still holding baby fat. They don’t mature everywhere at the same time. Her skins look nice people for as long as I’ve been in Sl (near 10 years) have out down any avi that isn’t “normal” they aren’t all there for ageplay, contrary to the thoughts of some people. 90% are people who are anything but perverted. Unless you experience it you won’t understand. So why don’t you learn about that part of Sl before you assume? B keep up the good work you make nice stuff and there needs to be more for kid avies in Sl.
I was just pointed to this thread. That is one of my skins. I buy my templates from A&A full perm templates and Wildheart Skin Templates (both inworld and on the MP) If any of them are copybotted, please show me proof of this and I will happily remove them from the MP as I would not purposely associate my store name with anything that is copybotted.
I have the transaction information containing the information as to where I purchased the full perm templates. I can’t imagine that either of these creators would be steal someone elses work 🙁
As far as to the kid avatars being “disgusting” this has always been, and will always be, some peoples opinions in SL. I was asked to make some tween skins for those who roleplay the “Harry Potter” school thing. There is nothing “disgusting” about it except what some sick people imagine in their own sick minds. I will not take my skins off the market due to some weirdos being offended, but I WILL take them down if I find out the templates I purchased are copybotted.
If anyone has information regarding this, please let me know – Thanks.
Not that one Lourdes, it was another comment I posted all links for the copybot shop on MP and The Skinnery blog… it just disappeared. All of my other comments say they are awaiting moderation, that one just faded into oblivion
It was marked as spam. Its been approved.
I think my comment didn’t go through because I posted links, but AA templates are all copybot templates, you can find many skin designers like al vulo, lara hurley, the sugar garden, and so many more copybotted templates on their skin template shop.
they’re all copybotted.
Just search for The Skinnery on google and find their blogspot and the first picture is the same skin used on the “tween” skin. Including the birthmarks
It didn’t go through because it was awaiting moderation.
AA templates are ALL COPYBOTTED
All copybot skins https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/166067
Pink fuel, Lara hurley, tsg and others.
The skin you used on this tween is this one https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/AA-PSD-Skin-Template-Owa/6680163
it is copybotted, the original name is [the Skinnery] Quiana and you can find on their blog theskinnery.blogspot.com
Or just search for the skinnery and you will see it is their skin and not a template
To the moderator please accept my comment all links are related
I’m not saying you should take them off the market, I’m just saying I’m not naive enought to believe that a good deal of the kid community ARE role playing sex.
You are making money off it, I say good for you and I credit you with the guts for standing up and taking accountablity IF they are copybotted, sounds to me like you are legit.
I just hope whoever is behind all those defaming false secrets about SLKids business will be unmasked soon…
Why would you want them unmasked, this is SECRETS, if it couldn’t be trusted to keep it annomonous you would’nt be here every week reading them, because no one would post to them
Number 1 bears a certain similarity to Bethany Heart. O.o
You think? It can’t be her can it? Didn’t recognise her with her legs closed.
LOL LOL LOL
Hmm, too classy to be her I think.
I ready tried to report this maker and unfortunately (I too hate kid skin maker) the templats are legit wildheart templats. But maybe can be report for wearing the make up.
wearing makeup? What… i am looking at the photo and legit don’t see any makeup on.
Wow. Regardless of your opinions about adults playing child avatars, a ‘tween’ wearing makeup is disgusting? it’s obvious they must be doing sexual roleplay because they wear lipstick? hahahaha… so what! I wore makeup when I was 12 and I surely wasn’t going around slutting it up. What moronic judgemental BS.
Do you actually believe they don’t role play sex that’s why most of us are creeped by them. Esp one wearing makeup, clear what it’s used for.
I dont care its a kid avatar, the problem is a bunch of her skins look like they came from copybot full perm shops
Having a kid avatar is not against the TOS and its useless to report her because of this. she can wear makeup, just not do sexual ageplay.
Number 1 is wrong on so many levels. Any freak wearing or making that should be monitored by the FBI.
Okay after reading all the comments here, I see why you say this. There is still a difference between templates and copybotting, but I get it now. Ignore that part of my comment!
I don’t see makeup in the pic either. The ad says lipsticks are included but if you’ve never seen a 12 year old wear lipstick, you’ve been under a rock. Actually the pic looks pretty innocent and tasteful to me. What really creeps me out is Toddleedoos wearing makeup. Tweens do it sometimes, TODDLERS don’t. And it’s like, full on, eyeliner and everything. It’s basically an adult skin – and often head shape – on a tiny body. THAT is creepy.
As far as copying… using full-perm items is NOT the same as copybotting. I’m not sure how you could confuse the two. Full-perm items have a EULA, but as long as you’re adhering to that, it’s fine. There’s a massive difference between using templates and copybotting.
Also, kids with makeup on is fucking disgusting.
You should really have your shop checked, your Beth Skin looks like a Mother Goose skin, your Sophie skin looks a lot like Glam Affair…
I’m not sure if mother goose uses templates, but check them anyway, the collar bones are the same, lips are shaded the same way and other detail are very similar
Very well said. Best of luck to you.
How many people have we seen get burned by using skin templates that were copybotted? It happens so often I wonder why these skin stores put their business at risk using them. Yeah they may be good to start out with and learn.
But to start a legit skin business, I think you need to be on par with the real skin makers,
I’m not saying that all templates are copybotted but there are a handful (yes that few) that make reputable templates. You may want to get in contact with the owner of the Skin Addiction group Voshie Paine to find out who makes legit templates that you can practice on until you don’t need templates anymore.
not helpful? you didnt even know you were selling stolen skins, and you made money with them you could have been sued, maybe youre still making money with the other skins you dont suspect
maybe next time we should report to the real creators to take your products down and sue you then?
you cant report them because you dont own them, explain how did you report them????? only the real creators can report them, most of them wont bother, but its their problem all you can do is tell the real creators and send them the money you made with their hard work(of course youwont)
to hahahahaha: read the other comments, idiot, AA is a scam, do your research, they sell so many skin templates that dont even look like each other and look exactly like lots of reputable branded hand drawn skins like pink fuel for example, good luck with your copybotted shop and idiocy
How is that evidence Britney, what, because you said so……….I don’t think so
are you kidding me, proof has been posted and you’re still going to investigate? “at least Owa is a rip off” AT LEAST? Why would they have only one copybotted template and the others would be legit? It makes no sense, be glad it was posted here, you could have been reported to the original creator and receive a DMCA takedown.
and you still can with the other templates you bought from them.
just by a quick look I can tell where most of AA templates stolen skins come from.
-AA- PSD Skin Template “Felina” – al vulo
-AA- PSD Skin Template “Branka” – tsg
-AA- PSD Skin Template “Cloey” – pink fuel
-AA- PSD Skin Template “Melissa” – The Shops
-AA- PSD Skin Template “Neyla” – al vulo
-AA- PSD Skin Template “Mary” – curio
-AA- PSD Skin Template “Lara” – pink fuel
come on… need more evidence?
and how are you reporting them to LL? All you can do is report to the original creators.
I agree, if someone thinks you’re using illegal items without knowing it, they should be discreet and kind enough to tell you personally and privately, not on a slanderous public website.
that’s only how I see it B, that’s just one perspective, others may not see it that way. Do what feels right to you, ask for feedback if you want it, but be prepared to make your own decisions, do what feels right for you.
I think it was iokko who answered my question, once I finished reading alllll the comments. Different “looks” from one template store is a sign it’s not legit. Got it, thank you. 🙂
I’m really sorry you’re going through this, when you’re obviously not trying to do anything illegal.
I saw the comment where links were posted, and indeed that is clearly the same skin. Please forgive my ignorance when I ask this, and I am NOT trying to accuse anyone of anything, just sincerely wondering… How do you know the Skinnery and such didn’t use the same template? Kind of a chicken-or-egg question. And again not meant to be offensive or accusatory. I’m pretty unfamiliar with how templates work, and I wouldn’t know how to go about copybotting something if my life depended on it.
they are copybotted and the skin on the picture above is by a skin shop named The Skinnery, it’s a pretty popular skin, don’t know how people don’t recognize it (the lip pout especially, people seem to love that skin, but i particularly hate these lips)
Really, Bling? How long have you been part of SL? Everyone in SL has some mental hang up going on. Everyone. If you think that everyone in SL is mentally and emotionally healthy then you are blind. On the off chance that you are the one single completely sane person who grew up in a loving home, with a loving family, who’s never experienced an ounce of trauma then good for you. Everyone comes to SL looking for something, something missing from their lives, be it an emotional attachment or just to add some excitement to their other wise dull life. Did you know that SL has many support groups for different emotional and psychological traumas? From rape to PTSD? That the military has a wounded soldier program inside SL that coincides with their therapy treatments? No? Too busy playing Pose Ball Theater with which ever voice changing hose will let you ride their pixel rocket I suppose, right? How far of a stretch from all that do you think it would be for someone who grew up abused, neglected, no family or poor family life to want to recapture that here in SL? Judge all you want, I’ll be over here snickering at your jumbo brazillian booty with a thigh gap wider than the grand canyon.
yeah, but why do kids that age wear make-up in the first place? Mostly it’s to look/feel a little bit older. In SL you can just BE a little bit older. You don’t have to worry about covering up spots or getting practice in applying the stuff.
Also, why would a ‘healthy’ person need to use SL as a form of therapy? Children are entitled to childhoods, and I can’t see that being traumatized to the extent that you feel compelled to roleplay a toddler twenty years later is a good thing for anyone. You want to be a kid so you can dress up a dinky little dolly avatar and take advantage of the wide range of binkies available? Cool. But I suggest you go elsewhere for therapy. There are too many other vulnerable / flaky / exploitative human beings in SL to guarantee a good result.
