Before we delve into secrets…
• If you hook up with a crazy in SL, it is not our responsibility to help you deal with that. If it becomes a RL issue contact law enforcement.
• Trust no one. If you tell people your laundry they will air it for you.
• Secret submissions are anonymous. We don’t know if your crazy ex or your abuela submitted them.
• Make your secrets legible.
• Do not contact us just to threaten us, especially with e-lawyers. We’ve been doing this for 12+ years. You are not the first nor will you be the last.

#1 – personally, my rl dog is getting old… she is a shitzu and a common age issue with them has something to do with their hips… there is nothing the vet can do.. he says it is the natural progression… atm, she is not in any pain… it just freaks us out when we feel her hips shifting when she comes up to cuddle with us…
it is not luna’s fault that something happened to her dog…. nature happens… some get sick and, some just get old and pass…
Leaving a silly “secret” on here about why her dogs are sick is just stupid.
They are sick because, it is something that happens..
Life happens… all we can do is sit back and watch, help where we can and, make our “like children” pets comfortable and wait..
then, deal with whatever happens.
Just remember “secret poster”…. karma is a bitch… and you just spat in her face… good luck with that.
And to Luna, hugs dear… ignore the lot… if the person was brave, they would have asked you straight..

I love how some yell moderation when it’s their friend getting targetted, but have no problem ruining other people straight in to hell right along with the secrets. I call BS.
To whoever was targetted: I feel for you. Don’t let this ruin you. Take it from me, it’s not worth it. I hope you find peace.

Lourdes, Kessert, number one wouldn’t have been able to be such an asshole in this situation if you had moderated it properly. This is virtual-secrets not BASHONYOURRLSECRETS. How is number one an SL secret at all? Not only that, if you disagree with number one, why give it a medium at all to hurt someone’s grieving process. Actions like this can cause people even more depression than they already have… You both are extremely cold to turn your back on someone who is mourning a loved one in their RL, human or not. You gave number one the medium and the pedestle to bully someone. You are the exact definition of an accomplice.

I love how you have decided to apply your rules of moderation to a site you don’t run nor do you pay for.
The secret was moderated properly within the rules of the site.
Are your feelings hurt because #1 is “mean?” Just too bad. This is SL Secrets, and if you’re not willing to see things as nasty as they can be, go to another webpage. Maybe http://www.hellokittyworld.co.uk is more to your speed.
seriously i thought number one was a complaint about the models the hair brand ‘moon’ uses in their ads.
My dog recently died unexpectedly as well. Granted there were no secrets about it but noone offered me support or did a massive “take pics with a virtual dog to help her cope” project. So if you dont like the secret, dont read it. Get over it. Death happens in life. Noone gets special treatment here.

It’s possibly the most inappropriate SL secret ever. It should be removed.
Lourdes moderated as she sees fit. I won’t challenge her decision. When I set up this new site her and I had a talk about how things would be run and we are following what we decided.
Look it totally sucks when an animal passes on. It sucks that someone is such a douchebag that they have to make a nasty secret when someone’s pet is sick. It’s disgusting. Someone is a real piece of work here, and the problem isn’t Lourdes or me.

Once again, good job for being absolutely disrespectful and nasty. Whoever wrote num 1 is more than welcome to their thoughts but shame on you Kess and Lourdes for allowing that to be posted. Would you have allowed this if someone had done it when your mother died? Didn’t think so. In fact I saw nothing but support for you. A pet is just as much a part of someone’s family and I really hope you don’t ever lose a child which I bet is how luna is feeling right now

Didn’t moderate those secrets or any other secrets regarding the death of RL people or pets. The secret is not being removed so you all can stop asking.
I think that a lot of people who post on SL Secrets are completely missing the point of it. You should check out the real secrets at postsecret.com, which is where the original inspiration for SL Secrets is supposed to have come from. It’s not a venue for you to reign your overly entitled ego preening secrets about how bad other bloggers, creators, plurker’s are; the fact that you think such thing constitutes the making of a secret makes me truly doubt your supposed superiority in these departments anyway. It’s also not a place to directly call out other sl users, it’s supposed to be an artistic and anonymous venue for the shared experiences that all sl users have. Basically, if anyone is able to identify who you are talking about…you kinda missed the point.
No, I think you have missed the point. virtual-secrets is what the readers and people who submit want it to be. In the beginning a duplicate of post secrets may have been the idea. But since then it has grown and evolved what it is now.
However I do think you have a great vision for a project. I look forward to seeing you put it into action.
If you have any decency remove #1. PLEASE.

This is common & not just in virtual reality.
Think about it; Someone sends you a text for a few pennies, a few words, a time investment of about one minute out of their day. Or logs into SL to check on their breedables and graces you with a sentence worth another 30 second investment, but is never around. A good example of actions speaking louder than words.
Chances are they are not in a dark alley dying, calling out your name. You’re an option, just one many on their contact list.
If the effort isn’t matching the words, beware. If you feel you’re giving too much, you are. He or she is on an alt, looking for others that they can take advantage of. There are many, many opportunistic catfish in SL. They will take everything you give them.
There are also many good people that won’t take anything or ask for anything.
Well yeah, but, it’s not really a secret is it. It’s just pulling a truth up onto the virtual-secrets spotlight.
Can we please remove number one since it’s incredibly spiteful and Luna is grieving right now? I don’t think it’s fair of someone to say something like this when Luna is clearly struggling over the loss of her poor Parker. It’s all well and good to be bitchy but taking a dig at someone who’s dog has just died is a bit too far. I know the new rules say no removing secrets but there has to be a line that we don’t cross or next people will be taking digs at people for losing a family member or friend like it’s their fault too.

I knew she has pugs and it really wasn’t much of a stretch to guessthat who it was directed at. And now that I’ve learned from comments that one of them has passed away, that just makes this particular secret all the more disgusting imo. Pets are family members for most of us. That secret is just downright cruel. No one would go up to someone grieving the loss of a child and ask, ‘how come your kid was always so sick?’ Where’s the decency?

The secret was probably posted before they knew the dog passed away. Maybe it was a legitimate question and not an attack?
Newsflash: if you have a legitimate question how about asking the person directly. Just a total thought here, because I am sure, if asked, the situation would be explained.
I totally agree…but then NO ONE mentioned in those secrets deserves this! This whole concept crossed a line that should have never been crossed!
Fuck it. If someone wants to say it. Let them say it. In the end the person it’s about knows if it’s true or not. I personally wouldn’t give a shit if I was the person the secret was written about. I know I take good care of my pets and if something happens… well I know I’d done all I could
I agree and frankly most of us DIDN’T know who it was about. Now we do. I think if they break the rules once it will become a common request.
Agreed, I had no clue they were talking about an actual dog until I read the comments, I thought it was a vague reference to some sl situation. Not sure what someone losing their rl pet has anything to do with being and sl secret…
